Hi there Relate Church! Five things I would like to share with you today.
1. Two people people who were far from God experienced the saving power of Jesus this past weekend! I hope we never allow this to go uncelebrated. Jesus gave everything so that we could be raised to new life in him.
2. Lately I’ve been meditating on how comfortable sinners were in Jesus’ presence. For instance, Luke 15 says, “tax collectors and other notorious sinners came to listen to Jesus teach”. Obviously they were comfortable around him. The reason being, he didn’t condemn. I want our church to be like that. Non-condemning. We don’t have to preach at people with our sermons or our attitudes. We can simply show God’s love by being kind and accepting…the good news will bring the transformation.
3. Easter is 5 weeks from this Sunday and I am pumped about how the Lord is leading us. To get the word out we are going to “Egg the City“. We will post more information on the website in a couple of weeks. Also, I ask again that you pray about who you will personally bring to one of our Easter worship experiences. It’s going to be a powerful time and we are believing that many far from God will be raised to new life in Jesus.
4. The gospel about Jesus is powerful to save! It doesn’t matter where a person has been or where they are, the gospel is the power of God. We will be continuing our “Going Deep” series this weekend and our focus will begin to shift from how the gospel benefits us to how the gospel benefits others through us. I can’t wait!
